Your adventure begins with an early departure from Karakol in a 4×4 vehicle.
Distance: ~160–190 km
Driving time: ~6–8 hours
Highest point: Turuk Pass (~3,400 m)
On the way:
• Drive through the scenic Turgen Valley
• Stop at Turuk Pass for panoramic views
• Continue deep into the remote Sary-Jaz Valley
This region is one of the most untouched in Kyrgyzstan:
• Massive glaciers and snow-covered peaks
• Endless open landscapes
• Almost no tourists
By afternoon:
• Arrive in Sary-Jaz (~2,800–3,200 m)
• Set up camp with stunning mountain views
If weather allows, enjoy views of Khan Tengri — one of the most iconic peaks in the Tien Shan.
Evening:
• Dinner in nature
• Overnight in tents
