Cancellation & refund policy

This Cancellation & refund policy applies to services provided by MIRANO Travel.

1. Booking requests

All bookings made through the website, WhatsApp, email, Instagram, or in person are considered requests until confirmed by MIRANO Travel.
Availability depends on:
  • travel dates
  • weather conditions
  • vehicle availability
  • guide availability
  • route accessibility
  • seasonal conditions

2. Deposits & prepayments

Some bookings may require a deposit or advance payment to secure dates, vehicles, equipment, or custom arrangements.
The required amount, payment deadline, and payment method will be confirmed individually before booking confirmation.

Accepted payment methods may include:
  • Bank transfer
  • Payment terminal
  • Cash payment

3. Cancellation by customer


Tours / Guided Experiences

More than 7 days before the start date
Deposit may be refunded in full or partially, depending on pre-booked third-party costs.

3 to 7 days before the start date
Partial refund may apply.

Less than 72 hours before the start date
Deposit is generally non-refundable.

No-show / Failure to arrive
No refund.

Car Rental
Cancellation terms depend on:
  • reserved vehicle category
  • season demand
  • custom preparation
  • delivery arrangements
Specific terms will be confirmed at booking stage.

Gear Rental
Cancellation made before pickup date may qualify for refund if equipment has not been reserved exclusively or prepared.

4. Cancellation by MIRANO Travel

We reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or modify bookings due to:
  • severe weather
  • unsafe road conditions
  • mountain hazards
  • border restrictions
  • force majeure events
  • vehicle breakdowns
  • health or safety concerns
In such cases, we will offer one of the following where possible:
  • rescheduling
  • alternative route/service
  • credit for future use
  • partial or full refund depending on circumstances

5. Route changes & travel conditions

Mountain travel in Kyrgyzstan may require itinerary changes because of:
  • snow
  • landslides
  • river crossings
  • road closures
  • permit restrictions
  • sudden weather changes
  • Such adjustments do not automatically qualify for refunds if the main service can still be reasonably delivered.

6. Refund processing

Approved refunds are processed using the original payment method when possible.
Processing time may vary depending on:
  • banks
  • payment providers
  • currency conversion
  • international transfer systems

7. Required documents

For some services (especially car rental), passport details and rental agreements may be required and completed in person at pickup/check-in.
