Depart from Bishkek in the morning and drive east toward the historic Burana Tower — an 11th-century minaret and one of the most important monuments of the Great Silk Road in Kyrgyzstan.
Walk around the archaeological complex, see ancient balbal stone statues, and learn about the lost city of Balasagun.

Continue along the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake and stop at the famous Skazka Canyon.
Here you will explore colorful sandstone formations shaped by wind and erosion into fantastic castles, animals, and towers. A short hike through the canyon offers panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
