Your adventure begins in the morning with a scenic off-road drive from Karakol to the stunning Altyn Arashan Gorge.

Distance: ~15 km
Driving time: ~1–1.5 hours
The road itself is an adventure — crossing rivers, rocky trails, and mountain paths surrounded by dense forests and towering peaks.

Arrival altitude: ~2,600 m
Upon arrival in Altyn Arashan Valley, you’ll be welcomed by breathtaking alpine scenery. Snow-capped mountains, green meadows, wooden cabins, and traditional yurts create a magical atmosphere far from civilization.

During the day you can:
• Explore the valley and enjoy short walks
• Relax in natural hot springs with mountain views
• Take amazing photos of untouched wilderness
• Experience the peaceful rhythm of nomadic life

Evening:
• Traditional dinner
• Overnight in a cozy yurt

Wake up to fresh mountain air and enjoy breakfast in the yurt. After breakfast, begin your horseback adventure toward the legendary Ala-Kul Pass.

Horseback riding: ~15–25 km total
Duration: ~5–7 hours (round trip)
Elevation gain: ~1,200–1,300 m
The ride takes you through alpine landscapes, mountain rivers, and high-altitude trails. As you approach the pass, the scenery becomes even more dramatic.

Highest point: Ala-Kul Pass (~3,800–3,900 m)
From the top, you’ll enjoy unforgettable panoramic views of the stunning turquoise Ala-Kul Lake surrounded by jagged peaks and glaciers.

After spending time at the viewpoint, return on horseback to Altyn Arashan.
